As we shared earlier this year, we’re trying a new approach to fundraising where we select a new charity every three months and raise as much as we can for them, up to the total of £500.00. We’ve put this in place to better reflect the varying amount of support and encouragement we receive from each individual charity we work with. We’ve now reached the end of our fundraising for Endometriosis UK and made our final donation, bringing our total raised for them to £304.30. And furthermore, that brings our grand total raised as Spoonie Survival Kits to £5417.88 between ten different causes! See an overview of all our fundraising to date here.
With that in mind, I’m delighted to share that our next chosen cause is ME Research UK! Fifty per cent of sales money from ALL our items will be donated to them, to commission and fund high-quality scientific (biomedical) investigation into the causes, consequences and treatment of ME/CFS. And with our timeframe including May, ME Awareness Month, we hope to raise as much as possible for their important field of work. Let’s do this.
