M.E Awareness Month 2018

As we’re sure many of you know, May is M.E Awareness Month, with 12th May being recognised as the official M.E Awareness Day. It was my own experiences of living with M.E that led to the beginning of Spoonie Survival Kits, so we always endeavour to do something special to mark this time of the year.

I’m delighted to announce that this year, we’ll be fundraising for M.E Support! The wonderful Louise has been a keen supporter of SSK right from the very beginning of the project, and we would love to be able to give back and support her own endeavours. M.E Support is one of the leading websites for M.E information, support and advice, and we’re proud to be fundraising for their work.

Of everything we sell online, fifty per cent of sales money is donated to a chronic illness charity. So from TODAY (19/04/18) right through until M.E Awareness Day (12/05/18), 50% of all sales money from our Blue Chronic Fatigue Spoonie Survival Kits will be donated to M.E Support. Not only that, but any orders of these kits between these dates will come with a free M.E Support Ribbon (pictured below). Yay!

Sales money from other items will continue to be donated to our current chosen charity, Crohns and Colitis UK.

You can place an order for your own Chronic Fatigue Kit, or send one straight to a loved one, here. Please note that these kits, whilst tailored specifically for those living with chronic fatigue, do contain scented items: if you have heightened sensitivity to smell, please take this into consideration. If you have any questions or concerns about the suitability of the kit for you or a loved one, please email us at spooniesurvivalkits@gmail.com and we’ll be happy to pop across our ‘Contents Card’ for you to view ahead of purchasing.

Also, be sure to follow our Instagram page (@spooniesurvivalkits) as our wonderful volunteer Nikki will be running a week-long ‘M.E Photo Challenge’ from Monday 7th May- Sunday 13th May. We’d love for you to get involved with this!

Love and hugs, SSK x

    • Hey Maria, hope you’re as well as possible! They’re not the same as last year’s, they’re the Chronic Fatigue Kits currently listed on our website that we sell year round, i.e. they haven’t been especially designed for M.E Awareness, but money from sales will be going to an M.E cause for a limited time. Hope that makes sense and if you guys do order, I really hope you love them as much as last time! <3
